Regular Programs

Afterschool programs for children 9 and up are scheduled on Wednesdays and Thursdays. If your child would like to participate in these activities, we need a new form filled out for the 2025-26 school year.

We expect that all of our younger patrons will respect the library building and staff and will come to the library with a plan to occupy their time until they are picked up. The library now closes every day of the work week at 5:30pm. Library computers will not be used for game playing this year. Young patrons may only use the computers if they have homework that requires the Internet.

In person story time will continue on Fridays  at 10:30 am.  Kate will be telling stories and doing crafts each week and we’d love to see you.

We know it’s early to post, but it has become a big event here at the library! Our 2025 Touch-a-Truck is scheduled for the first Saturday in June from 10am until noon. Come and see some of the big equipment used in the local area. If you have a big truck and would like to participate, call us at the library at 422-9765. We hope to make the event bigger and better each year!

The staff is working on the decorations for this summer’s theme: Dig Up a Good Book. We’re planning all sorts of activities and programs for the whole family. Look for updates as summer will be here before you know it!

We’re already planning for the next Vermont Fairy Tale Festival! The date is Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 10-4pm. Lots of fairy tales, costumed characters, arts and crafts, food trucks, music and fun! Admission is a non-perishable item for the food bank or the humane society. Hope to see you at the library!
