The River Road Concert Series is scheduled by the Killington Parks and Recreation Department and is hosted by the Sherburne Memorial Library. The concerts are free to the public and usually begin the week following the 4th of July. This year the concerts will begin on Thursday, July 7th. These concerts are held on Thursday evenings at 6pm behind the library. Bands set up near the building and patrons can bring picnic suppers, lawn chairs, blankets, etc to enjoy the show. Bands are booked 9-12 months in advance and we try to provide a variety of musical talent and genres for this series. The concerts are scheduled rain or shine, though if the weather is extremely wet, we may choose to schedule a rain date. As we get closer to the start of the concerts, we will post specific info about the summer’s performers here on the website.
IF THUNDERSTORMS ARE IN THE FORECAST, THE REC DEPARTMENT WILL LIKELY MOVE THE CONCERT TO THE GREEN MOUNTAIN GOLF COURSE. PLEASE CHECK WITH THE REC DEPARTMENT FACEBOOK PAGE BEFORE VENTURING OUT.
