For those interested in the Barn Quilt Project, we had such a response that we’ve added a Saturday. Currently, we will be doing quilts on Saturday, September 27, and Saturday October 4. Both days we’ll start at 9 am and we’ll likely be done around 2pm. Each person who signs up will need to choose a quilt pattern and the day that works best for them. We will prime and draw your pattern so that they are ready to paint when you arrive. The library will provide the paints, brushes and quilt block. Participants should bring GREEN frog tape, an Exacto knife or box cutter, and a small hair dryer if you choose to help with the drying time. The fee for this project is $65 which will cover the cost of the wood and paint. Anything left will go to support the Vermont Fairy Tale Festival. Checks can be written to the Sherburne Library or you can pay by credit card on the library website. Just be aware that there is a $3 fee to pay with a credit card. To order the wood, we need payment and pattern choice on or before Friday, August 8. The patterns chosen are simple and good for first time painters. If you have a different pattern that you are attached to, let us know and we’ll see what we can do. Email questions and pattern choices to sherburnememorial@gmail.com
